Activating Web Connector

The ProductCart Synchronizer for use with QuickBooks® communicates with your QuickBooks software using a tool called the Web Connector. Please click the download link on your screen and install the Web Connector on your local computer. You must install Web Connector on the computer that is running QuickBooks.

Download the QuickBooks Web Connector installer to a location on your computer and run the installer by double clicking on it.

The QWC File

This is a settings file (with a ”.qwc” extension) that will automatically configure Web Connector when opened. Web Connector already knows what to do with this file. All you need to do is obtain the .qwc file from ProductCart (Step Three of the Setup Wizard) and open it on the computer running QuickBooks. From Step Three, to open the QWC file:
  • In your browser, click Activate Web Connector on Step Three of the Setup Wizard (QB_Setup3.asp)
  • You will be prompted to save or open a special configuration file. Click Open and follow the prompts. The Authorize New Web Service window may take several seconds to appear. Wait until you see it appear on your desktop, then click OK.
  • Return to the Setup Wizard
